Parks audio budgie preamp - build

Preparation prior to soldering components to the board.

Fitting the ceramic tube sockets and LCD.

Push buttons and trimmer pots in place with poster putty.

Spacers in place and mounted on the faceplate.

Top view. Looks good. Buttons fit well. Looks like the LCD might need some help. Might want to raise it and/or use some car door edging.

PCB top view. Soldered ceramic tube holders. Now to do the trim pots and buttons.

Found an LCD with a wider bevel.
Not a bad fit:
The Arduino portion of this was a bit of a bear mainly because I bought a cheap knock off ATMega which had inscrutable behavior and also die to user error installing the LCD library.

The final parts from Mouser are due any day now and I should be able to perform an initial smoke test before the new year.
